Video of Exhibition

Here is a video featuring a track call ‘Tanks Le Lot’ which appears in the ‘Extraction’ remix on the album ‘Cassette Culture“. The images are of the exhibition of Peter Bright’s  work in the 150 building at West Buckland School during June 2011.

I clearly prefer This Window to any other current state of the artmixers that are presently popular. This review is from Stick It In Your Ear a UK fanzine (1990). This Window – Cassette Culture 1989 – 2009 – Extraction

Music to invade small countries toooo?

As of 2005, Rammstein have sold over 10 million records worldwide. Rammstein’s entire catalog is published by Universal Music Group. Since their formation in 1994, Rammstein has had no changes in their band line-up nor have any members left the band.

Rammstein takes their name indirectly from the German town of Ramstein-Miesenbach, the site of the flight show disaster on 28 August 1988. The band’s signature song, “Rammstein”, is a commemoration of the disaster. In a short period before the band became well known, they performed using the name “Rammstein-Flugschau” (literally meaning “Rammstein-Airshow”).

Although the majority of their songs are written in German, Rammstein has had success across the world. It was confirmed in 2007 that the band had re-united from their vacation and had begun working on their sixth studio album, Liebe ist für alle da, which was released on 16 October 2009 in Europe.

Video inspires story

I made the video below –  taken after the Sandcastle Competition on Woolacombe beach. The tide came back in, reclaimed and leveled the sand. The music in the background is an extract from ‘Again’ which was released on iTunes etc. last year.

The entry below is taken from http://systemculture.com/blog/?p=386

The Beach Hut follows the stories of the people who own the beach huts on Everdene sands, families who come to Everdene each year, people who fall in – or out of – love, remembering their pasts, or trying to forget them… Veronica Henry has brilliantly drawn together the comings and goings of life over one long, hot, lazy summer…

This video inspired one of Veronica Henry’s stories.

Veronica Henry writes articles for The Daily Mail – here’s a link to an article she wrote about becoming invisible at 40.

And Also The Trees – Retrospective view

It is always difficult to be objective about a band you have been aware of for decades, a band you have socialized with, drunk with and supported on stage...

And Also The Trees always manage to deliver a well thought out product (with out sounding pretentious and ‘Arty’) the concept, the execution, the complete package is always ‘very interesting’. The almost melancholic delivery of the words, the guitars that pull you into a loop and flick you off on to a different tangent – which crisscrosses the rest of the emotional mix, creates a fantastic dark labyrinth to get lost in. Apart from that they produce cracking good intelligent songs. There is a new collection available which was released in 2009 called When The Rains Come
From a village in Worcestershire, brothers Simon (vocals) and Justin Jones (guitar) formed And Also The Trees in 1979 and have been recording and playing live virtually ever since. My  copy of (Listen for) the Rag and Bone Man is almost worn out….go and have a listen on MySpace.
