Drobot!

Drobot! have tentative shows lined up in October through to January and promise remixes and new material to come soon.

Discribed as fusion and experimental, Drobot!, especially in ‘Digital Artifact’, for some peculiar reason remind me of really early Joy Division – the tracks where they sound as though they are jamming and Ian Curtis shouts a lot (wish I could remember the titles of the tracks – will seek and find). There is a funk element to these offerings – but it is more like, jazz funk meets psychedelic guitar fuzz box – and guess what it really works well.

About peter

'Death by Sushi' Fish can kill me. When I was very small (maybe 3 or 4 years old) my grandfather, who lost the sight of one eye from a bullet fired by a German sniper (fortunately not a very good one) during the Battle of the Somme in World War 1, wiped my face with the corner of his apron, an apron he had used to wipe his filleting knife on. He was a grocery shopkeeper who specialized in wet fish.
