- How did you get into rap?
I was always a fan since my first music experiences, but became active in writing and rappin around 1999-2000.After a SAE engineering course in New Zealand, I formed a rap group (MC2) and made various mixtapes and releases but never anything worth noting..It wasn’t until moving back to Perth that I began recording professionally and making major moves with music,and that was in 2005..
- How long have you been producing tracks?
I produced over 200 mixtape quality tracks between 2001-2005 which was all home recorded and just basically a learning experience,after meeting Golddust construction producer Andrew Wright in 2005-06 period I moved onto recording and producing at his professional studio in which I have recorded over another 50 tracks.
- What has been your biggest success so far?
…so far I have featured on ‘UNSIGNED HYPE’ DVD which is a not for profit hiphop dvd with all funds going to children of Ethiopia. I self funded and produced a east /west dvd titled ‘LAND DOWN UNDER’ which featured 10 of the best up and coming artists in oz..and also just released my first single ‘GREEN AND GOLD STONES’ the lead track from my debut album ‘SKOOL IS IN SESSION’.They would have to be my best achievements so far..
- Do you think your music is getting stronger?
Defiantly…there is no doubt about it,my topics have changed to more conscious events.and my wordplay and flow is ever evolving.the love of words keeps me moving forward.
- Do you have anything exciting happening in the future?
Yes, the ‘UNSIGNED HYPE’ DVD I mentioned is featuring on foxtel after Sept-Oct period so that’s exciting, there’s shows coming up for me as well as my debut release of ‘SKOOL IS IN SESSION’ ..which I cant wait for..we’re just trying to sort manufacture and boom…
