Google completely dominate, Yahoo and Microsoft, collectively these search engines have always been known as “the big three. Google has gained the lion’s share of the market share over the years at the expense of the others, this doesn’t mean the other players have given up – Microsoft and Yahoo ( the ranking outsiders) have a good chance of catching up with Google and maybe taking the lead.

The expression ‘never keep you eggs in one basket’ is a good bit of metaphorical advice to follow. Search Engine wars are far from over. Make sure your business is visible in the minor league players you never know when the league tables will change. The stranglehold Google currently have over the Internet is possibly not a permanent one.
