Quail eggs – eat art

After a long wait we have finally got enough eggs to have them as part of a meal. It was worth the wait, they were delicious. Hopefully we will be able to create some more interesting dishes using these tasty morsels.

North Devon web belongs to a network of websites that host in a green way.  North Devon Web is helping to prevent the release of 2,660 metric tons of carbon dioxide from entering the atmosphere each year by hosting on ‘Green Servers’ – as a result,  the network’s energy efficiency is equivalent to planting approximately 2,390 acres of trees, not driving 6.1 million miles, or removing 510 cars from the road.

My personal blog on my main site has, through search engines and blog listings, reached the top 10 in Arts blogs in the Technorati.com charts and also climbed into their top 100 charts for Living.

I have begun a series of paintings (screenprints) ready for my exhibition in the ‘Long Gallery’ (West Buckland School, Barnstaple, North Devon). The loose idea for these images are based around the title ‘Beauty and the Beast’ – the ‘beauty‘ will be a large ape. This will coincide with a workshop I am giving on how to create woodcuts. Course Aims:
A hands on introduction to woodcuts and how to create a series of prints. Within the time frame it is hoped that each participating member will be able to create a finished image. The techniques shown will be simple ‘kitchen table’ processes that will be easy to replicate at home.

All materials are provided.
Additional costs: No additional costs.
Refreshments: Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided.

Location:West Buckland School, Barnstaple. As you turn onto the school site, take the left turning to the car park. The 150 building is located adjacent to the main car park, and the front door is at the far end of the building as you walk towards it.
