Freaks sell

from Peter Bright

There are various ways to market your online bussiness, one way is to get involved with ‘Freak Shows’. Surfers on the Internet have peculiar habits, their inhibitions suddenly disappear and the boundaries of their inquisitiveness and tastes become broader. We all know ‘Sex Sells’ but people are simply becoming more odd, searching for the deformed and bizarre. Bad taste has become click through heaven.
“Went to Ilfracombe museum and saw a two-headed kitten, a two-headed duckling, a four-legged chicken and a cupboard full of bats – what fun!”

Sexuality is a powerful tool

For some women sexuality is their most powerful tool, their sexuality is used to get ahead in life, a bargaining tool to make more money or to get what they want….

The acceptable age of voyeurism?

The Internet is a tool that connects you with businesses and people and smart businesses, communicate with their clients directly, pulling in the voyeurs and boosting their sales; they stay in front of the curve and their rivals. All this is achievable by using the Internet to its full marketing, and interaction potential. Try your hand at real search engine optimisation, look at your site and fix those broken links, update the content, sort out the keywords and phrases. Harnessing the power of the Internet to improve your website’s rank in the search engine results pages is a way to achieve your dreams. Don’t be content with just having ‘lookers’ or ‘peepers’, be more positive and proactive with your time, improve and inspire, corral your visitors and steer them towards your products. Create a cage that keeps them locked into your site; tame them so they don’t want to leave. Set your traps carefully and take money from your visitors.

Everything and anything can appear in these mixes – relaxing soundscapes and beats, the spoken word and electronic magic. These tracks could be Soundtracks or Film music but are definitely Experimental and possibly Electronica. Backwards or forwards these are well crafted pieces. (Listen on MySpace)

Julie Peel – “Living In A Movie”

An email mentioning this track dropped into my inbox ages ago and I listened to it – forgot about it and then I suddenly found myself humming it – I like it.

Julie Peel’s “Living In A Movie” is her first single from “Near The Sun” It was recorded in Stockholm with Andreas Dahlbäck, (producer and drummer for Anna Ternheim, Nina Kinert and Jona Lee) and Cyrille Catois, a famous bass player from the Jazz scene.

The Music video for the single was directed by Audrey Culver from MTV, and shot in New York. The album was mixed at Gary Smith’s (producer for The Pixies, Natalie Merchant, Juliana Hatfield…).
