Are these Keywords?

The example below is how not to use words in Search Engine Optimisation. The text is crammed with loads of words but when read they appear meaningless – is it spam, bad grammar or art?

This text has been taken from:

How to be Pretentious, look stupid and fail!

This text is subject to prescriptive/predictive rules of a system aesthetic. This text has been written on four computers, two of which are on a network and two of which are stand-alone systems. Each computer is running a different version of a Windows operating systems, (Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME and Windows XP). The text is written in Microsoft Word, three are using version 2000 and one is version 97. Three versions are operating with an English dictionary and one (v.2000) is using an American/English dictionary. This text has been written in two locations, my homes in Bromsgrove and Woolacombe. This text has been subject to 100?s of system protocols, however the structure of the text is predictable; each computer has its own subtle nuances and offers syntax and grammatical recommendations. I am not completely responsible for this text, my systems are. My main contribution is editing and using the cut and paste facility. If I had attempted to write this in its finished running order, it would have taken me longer to write…my spelling is appalling and my grasp of grammar is minimal…the written word is not my preferred method of expression. This text would not exist without the existence of the system.
This page has been created in a non web-prescriptive manor. The use of Times New Roman font is a positive reaction to the webs political and aesthetic values. I do not wish to be cool and use prescriptive methods of page creation. I have written this in Word (one of the most frowned upon web-prescriptive creative tools) and not Dreamweaver or any other trendy formulaic program..I do not want to be a part of the webs system of aesthetics. (However if you look at the source the urge to fiddle with the code was irresistible. This was done in notepad and in Star Office (Linux) . I have made this page unstable.)
I do not encourage the use of pirated or hacked software.

What is a Solar Panel Made of?
Solar cells are primarily made of silicon and do not contain any corrosive materials or moving parts. Silicon makes up 27.7% of the Earth’s crust and is the second most abundant element after oxygen. The silicon wafers’ surfaces are infused with minute amounts of impurities primarily Boron or Phosphorous in order to promote the production of electricity. Other materials used in solar panels are – Outer surface: Glass. Electrical Contacts: palladium, silver, nickel, or copper. Panel Frame: Aluminium.
What is Photovoltaic energy?
Photovoltaic energy is produced when sunlight is converted into energy with the use of solar cells or semiconductors. As long as the solar cells are exposed to light, they will produce photovoltaic energy with a minimum of maintenance. This energy is also environmentally clean, quiet, and safe. The term “photovoltaic” has two parts: photo, a Greek word meaning light, and voltaic, a reference to electrical energy innovator Alessandro Volta.

This initiative to create ‘green websites’ isn’t a marketing ploy; we should encourage responsible environmental practices inside the office and practice them outside the office. Many of our clients feel just as strongly.

What Is Search Engine Optimisation?

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is a cost effective promotional tool and sometimes helps to get your grain of sand noticed and might be the answer for generating more sales or visits.
What Is Search Engine Optimisation?
In simple terms, Search Engine Optimization, often referred to as SEO,  is the process of increasing the amount of traffic (visitors) to a web site from search engines via intuitive or natural search word matches. These ‘matches’ are referred to as ‘keywords’. The basic aim is to create a website that contains enough ‘keywords’ in it to allow a search term to match the words within a web site, the earlier a site appears in the search results list, the more likely it is to get more visitors. Optimisation is not only aimed exclusively at words,  targeting different possible types of searches include: searches for images,  local services and business searches, or industry, product services with in specific search engines is also an important strategy.
Owning a website is like owning a grain of sand. Each grain of sand, when combined with other grains, eventually creates a beach. Only a very few proportionately settle on the top and become visible. This sounds very similar to the World Wide Web – I think?

The New Jesus and Mary

Hosted by North Devon Web - DesignMaterials: Acrylic and Oil Paint with commercial vinyl.

This image was created on a computer running Windows 98, manipulated and edited using Signlab. The finished version was cut out in vinyl with a Camm-1 Plotter and stuck onto board.

‘Mass Production and The New Jesus and Mary’ Memorial design is now almost completely originated on the computer. Standard designs can be purchased from catalogs. My work as a memorial designer has involved producing bespoke designs for commercial clients who reproduce images over and over again. Read more…

Capitalism = Terrorism

Review:
Conclusion: The impression that Peter has/enjoys choice may be illusory. Computer cut religious imagery could be the way forward. It fits with Peter’s established skills and his commercial practice. The heads of Christ are probably the most complete work so far; but working in this vein may well entail a reappraisal about the possibilities of art – and what next is available to Peter. The work is poised for the next stage.
