Nyla Alisia – Review

I’ve never really thought much about poetry, I’ve always thought of it and treated it as a way to put words to music and in many respects I have disrespected the use of words in my own work – words are an irritating necessity that hinders music.

I stumbled on Nyla Alisia by mistake – but I actually found myself lost in the spoken word. I recommend taking a few minutes break from the usual bang bang of music beats and just simply listen to the rhythm of words and the timbre of her voice – maybe I must rethink what words are?

About peter

'Death by Sushi' Fish can kill me. When I was very small (maybe 3 or 4 years old) my grandfather, who lost the sight of one eye from a bullet fired by a German sniper (fortunately not a very good one) during the Battle of the Somme in World War 1, wiped my face with the corner of his apron, an apron he had used to wipe his filleting knife on. He was a grocery shopkeeper who specialized in wet fish.
