The Eden House is a collaborative project which is based around Stephen Carey, formerly of Ireland’s ‘This Burning Effigy’ and Tony Pettitt, formerly of ‘Fields of The Nephilim’. Their album ‘Smoke and Mirrors’ has some of the best musicians and vocalists around on it and includes Julianne Regan who for me is one of the finest singers and song writers ever. The other vocalists who are the main contributors to The Eden House project are Evi Vine, Amandine Ferrari and Monica Richards (Faith & The Muse).
Their music can only be described as luscious and darkly rich – like eating chocolate mousse. Without a doubt ‘Smoke and Mirrors’ is my favourite album of 2009 it ticks all the boxes for me and I can’t recommend it highly enough.
