It is not surprising this band has had extensive exposure on radio, the unmistakable quality of Wake’s songwriting puts this band into a higher league than the majority of wannabes.

The Dastards not only create fantastic (home) studio recordings, produced by the front man ‘Wake’ but they are one of the best live bands I have seen for a long time. In many ways their live performances are edgy and powerful; the lead guitarist George is as solid as a rock and his ability as a ‘right hand man’ is mature, sympathetic and inventive, Jake the bass player also shows a maturity beyond his years and their drummer (they seem to have a new one every week) Mudie, was tight and on the button with his fills and trills.
